Print in the LC

Directions

The LC only has a black and white printer for student use:

  • Black HP LaserJet 400 MFP M425 PCL6 (main printer)

 

To print in the LC you must:

  • Ask for permission from Ms. Heather or another adult in charge.

  • Set up your device to print to the Black HP LaserJet 400.

  • Change your default printer.  Look below for detailed directions.

  • All the desktops are already set up for printing.

  • Use double sided setting for all documents that are more than one page.

  • Plan ahead.

    • You can print before school, at lunch, or with a pass.

    • You may not use the printer when the LC is closed for Book Club, Meetings, or Professional Development sessions.   

    • If a class is in the LC, you may also not be able to print.

    • Always check the LC Calendar before coming.

 

iMac Printing:

  • Log in with your SFUSD user name/password.

  • Open Chrome as your browser.

  • Pull up your document-- PRINT

  • Don’t forget to check the two sided box before you print.

 

iPad Printing:

  • Pull up your document.

  • Find the three dots on upper right corner

  • Select Print Preview

  • Touch the three dots again

  • Print

  • AirPrint

  • Select Printer: HP LaserJet 400 MFP M425

  • Do not click “cancel” on the iPad

  • Stand near the printer and push OK if prompted.

 

PC Printing:

  • Log in with your SFUSD user name/password.

  • Go to the Start Menu (bottom left corner of screen)

  • Select Printers and Faxes

  • Right Click on the Library HP LaserJet 400 MFP M425 PCL6 (look carefully!)

  • Left click on “Set as Default Printer”- a check mark should appear

  • Close the window.

  • Don’t forget to check the two sided box before you print.

Basics

You may print before school or during lunch.

Be sure to arrive early so you can complete the job before the bell rings.

During class you will need a pass from your teacher.

Read and follow the directions.

 

Be certain to check the LC Calendar to make sure the LC is open when you plan to print.

The LC will be unavailable for student printing during Book Club and other LC closures.
